Vita

Louis Walz studied educational science and educational management in Freiburg im Breisgau before moving to Hamburg to pursue a master’s degree in business psychology with a focus on human resources and organizational development. At the same time, he completed training as a certified systemic coach.
His interest in organizations was shaped early on by activities at the interface of research, human resources development, and consulting. While still a student, he worked on research projects and supported lifelong learning programs. This was followed by positions in organizational development at an IT consulting firm and in a corporate environment, most recently at OTTO. There, he designed and facilitated workshops on team and leadership development as well as organizational and cultural development.

In his master’s thesis, Louis addressed the tensions surrounding “return-to-office” strategies—that is, the question of how organizations deal with mobile working models when the pressure to be present increases.

Personal interests

Raised in Ettlingen near Karlsruhe and long at home in sunny Freiburg, Louis now lives in Hamburg, which offers a stark contrast, and particularly appreciates the city’s cultural diversity. From PowerPoint karaoke to improv theater to street festivals, he likes to be right in the middle of things instead of just watching from the sidelines.

In his free time, he ponders the big and small questions of everyday life: while cooking, listening to his favorite podcasts, or watching political talk shows.
