Vita
Dr. Kai Matthiesen (born 1967) is a businessman and business ethicist. He has been a Metaplanner since 2001, and is a managing partner today. Previously, he worked for Bertelsmann in France, in family business and in the new economy, most recently as Managing Director of AltaVista Germany. He primarily advises executive committees on strategy and organizational issues.
He has also enjoyed 20 years of teaching assignments at the University of St. Gallen and the Hamburg School of Business Administration on digital transformation and leadership, among other topics.
Personal interests
Kai grew up in Schleswig-Holstein. His parents’ business made him want to turn to entrepreneurship as well. He set out into the world to become a ‘royal merchant.’ Today he lives in Hamburg with his wife and two daughters.
